Win7 Media Center won't play Some Movies on NAS drive

Hi: Recently some of the movies copied to my NAS drive with DVDFab ver 8.0.3.2 will not play with Win7 Media Center. They seem to copy OK and I get no error messages. The movies will play across my home network on my XP computers with PowerDVD Ver. 6 But not with my Win7 64bit computers with Media Center/PowerDVD Ver. 9.

Sometimes I can get the movie to play on Media Center by setting DVDFab to Jump to the Main Menu. This worked with Iron Man 2 but not with Castle Season 1 Disk 3. For Castle I had to Custom record recording just the main VOB files. I had to leave out all the menus and extras.

I seldom burn my DVDs to disk. I record them to a Hard Drive and watch them with Media Center. First with MCE 2005 and now with Win7 64bit MC.

What can I do to record the entire Disk?

Logs show you are using DVDFab Version 8.0.2.2 and that is old outdated. Update to the most recent version Also this is not a DVDFab problem but more a problem with how you have your computers and NAS set up.

OK it looks like I made a couple of mistakes in my original post.

I record all of me dvds to my Win7 64bit Media Center Computer. My MC computer has an 8TB RAID10 non-boot drive (4TB usable) built in that also acts as my Network Drive. That probably doesn't count as an NAS.

I have DVDFab Ver 8.0.3.2 on my MC computer and I have tried to record the DVDs listed below 3 or 4 times each using different DVDFab features to the hard drive built into the MC computer running DVDFab on the MC computer. I also have tried to record the movies listed below using this computer (specs list in first post) across my network to my MC computer the results are always the same. The only recording that will play using Media Center are the versions recorded without any menus. I have successfully recorded movies since 2005 using this same setup.

Only the movies listed below have failed.
        Iron Man 2
        Castle S1 D3 (Season 1 Disk 3)
        Castle S2 D2
        Castle S2 D3

These Movies Copied just fine using the same setup:
        Castle S1 D1
        Castle S1 D2
        Castle S2 D1

I tried again to copy Castle S2 D3 using DVDFab Ver 8.0.3.2 on my Win7 Media Center computer to the built in hard drive no networking involved. Window media Center would not play the copy on the hard drive I got this message:
        DVD Error
Windows Media Center cannot play this DVD. Restart
Windows Media Center and insert the DVD again.

        Here are the DVDFab logs:

There must be something different about the disks that won’t copy since full disk copy doesn’t no matter how many times I try. Other disks copy with no problem.

I finally got Castle season 2 disk 2 to copy after trying about 12 times.
          I set PathPlayer to:
Scan cells less than 600 minutes and
Scan one VOBU every 1 VOBU.
It took over two hours and the picture is not as good as usual but now it will play in Media Center.
I would like to know if anyone else managed to copy this successfully.
