I thought this was a new movie because I was having problems but it's 2006.

I have the new 8 update, but tried 7 also, I get the same error reading disk thing. I get a windows thing that I usually don't get when I first put the disk in, wanting to know if I want to play it or do nothing etc.

I try letting windows play it and see.

Just thought I'd see if there's something I'm not doing etc.

The first thing I would do is disable autoplay in Windows. Then start DVDFab with no disk in the drive and disable PathPlayer, probably don't need it on a DVD that old, be sure to turn it back on. Then with Fab open put the disk in and let it do its thing.

Tried that but same error. Works in DVD player, works in media player on the pc.

Just can't make dvd folder. Even tried doing autoGK from the disk but it just sat there lit up for 2 hours.

What error? Please post your burn log(s). The fact the DVD plays in a set top player or a softplayer on the pc is meaningless, they are much more tolerant of read errors. Post the logs and someone will be able to help you in the meantime clean the disk and check for scratches.

It had to go back.

After watching it, I was ok with the fact I couldn't copy it.

I usually look for scratches but I was so sure this was copy protection I didn't even think about it.

First movie I can remember having any problem with, great product dvdfab.
