DVD Ripper Problems ripping to an avi

I purchased dvd copy and ripper to get my library into my HTPC. After upgrading to a newer version I became unable to rip to an avi(xvid). When the software says it is done, the avi has a length of 3514 hours (all very large like that) and when you play the movie, the movie is played real fast, a 2 hour movie takes 2 minutes, and then it goes black. The sound is normal. It is just the video that is incorrect. Any ideas on how to fix this.

Been trying to encode videos all evening. It isn't just the avi's (xvid) that doesn't work. Any method I try does the same thing. Looking for any help.

I copied the last rip I tried to do. I know the iso is good because it was copied using dvdfab a month ago and converted to an avi before the problems started.

Use an older version to do the AVI conversion.

Current releases are buggy in this aspect.

Any ideas where I could get the install file for 8.0.5.5? I'd really like to revert, it was working just fine...
