First off, I think this software is excellent, It has surpassed my expectations of quality by 150%. Great job to the developers.
I "WANT" to buy this, but, there is one thing that i can't get past, and it is unfortunately a deal breaker for me. I know that it must be a setting I'm overlooking, but, when ripping Blu Ray (whether it be for my PS3 or my Xbox360, it appears as if the sound isnt very crisp.
I should let you know that I am only playing my encodes through standard stereo speakers, but, they are good speakers and I would expect the sound to be a bit better than it is. The sound is almost as if it's encoding at 96Kbs. It has that muffled swirly sound (lol. I hope I'm explaining that the proper way). This happens with every Blu Ray I've tried. The blu ray disc (on my PC and on my Xbox and Ps3 plays crystal clear), but, once encoded from the disc, the sound is muffled no matter where I try to play it. Whether it be my PC, Laptop, PS3, Xbox,..etc..etc
My Pc is a:
2.60 gigahertz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core
128 kilobyte primary memory cache
512 kilobyte secondary memory cache
64-bit ready
Multi-core (2 total)
Not hyper-threaded
3072 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory
ATI Radeon HD 2400 Series
Running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
When ripping the blu ray to PS3 or Xbox360 format, I am choosing DTS audio (it's the only one that i can actually say gives me the correct audio track for the movie (no commentary or anything). So, I am basically not changing any settings from the defaults.
I really hope I provided enough info for someone to shed some light on this, as I would really like to buy this software, but, because of this, I'm hesitant.
