BD Ripper (3D Plus) Trying to Understanding Frame Resolution vs. 720p/1080p

I’m trying to understand the relationship of 720p/1080p to the frame resolution. I have been looking over “scene releases” to see how movies are being ripped (trying to see what the standard is). I can’t figure out how a movie is stated as “720p” but have a frame resolution of 1280x528

Here are some of the examples I’ve seen out there (I’ve removed the scene group names).
    Eagle Eye 2008 720p BluRay DTS x264
    Frame Resolution: 1280x534

    Casino Royale 2006 1080p BluRay x26
    Frame Resolution: 1920x800

Prince of Persia The Sands of Time 2010 1080p Bluray x264 DTS
    Frame Resolution: 1920x800

    The Departed 2006 1080p BluRay x264
    Frame Resolution: 1920x800

    The Departed 2006 720p BluRay Ac3 x264
    Frame Resolution: 1280x528

    #2
1080i/p has max resolution of 1920x1080
720i/p has max resolution of 1280×720

These would be the dimensions of the frame if it was filmed in 16:9 aspect ratio (ex. newer TV shows, and some made-for-cable or direct-to-disc movies). Most movies have aspect ratios of 1.85:1 or 2.39:1 which are more wide than tall compared to 16:9. They will fill the width and be smaller in height than available.
