DVD Ripper No sound on ipod- DVDfab ripper

Hello,

I used Dvdfab Ripper Free Trial with no problem at all. When i upgrade a few days ago to the full ripper version i get no sound on my ipod. i get sound on my itunes but no sound on my ipod. Dvdfab won't answer emails and im stuck. i don't know what to do and am very frusterated.

Hi shuab93,

1) Please try to install the latest beta version 8.0.6.4 at to convert again and see if you can get sound on your iPod.

2) If you still encounter the same problem, please post your internal log file.

The default location is:

For Win7 C:\Users\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log
or Vista C:\Users\User Name\Documents\DVDFab\Log
or for XP C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log

No Sound on Ipod with Beta Install

I tried the previous version I had, then the beta...seems it is just screwed up now and can't get past this. I have also done a factory restore on my ipod and it still doesn't get sound on the ipod files.

kash, be sure you select the AC-3/5.1 track. I just finished a movie with 8.0.6.4 and it works fine with that audio track.

I have tried going back to an older version even. I now have NO sound on my iPod for any new movies. The old movies still work, so I know it isn't iTunes since I wiped my iPod and started putting them on again.

It IS DVDFab. When I rip a movie to an ISO, I can make a disk. When I make an iPod version, there is sound in iTunes when I play it but not on the iPod. I have picked the 5.1 sound and still nothing.

I am losing my patience on this!!!!!!!!!!!

I did use the mpeg4 profile but played it on my iPod Touch. It could be a difference in the device I suppose?

I suggest updating to the latest official release as the version you are using is old and outdated. Also try changing the A/V Codec settings in common settings of DVDFab to Software for all choices.

I do not use iPod profiles but they do work once you get the settings set

I am using DVDFab 8.0.6.5 and have tried changing the A/V Codec settings to Software (from CUDA). This unfortunately did not change the results. As others have posted, the resulting conversion works great in iTunes (video and sound), but on my ipod, only the video is played, no sound.

One thing I noticed when I updated to 8.0.6.5 is the audio on the mpeg4 profile default is way high bit rate and 5.1 multichannels. Have you tried down mixing to stereo at 96 - 128kbps?
