I've worked all day on trying to backup A Beautiful Mind, The Hours, and others. I have the newest DVD Fab Ripper software. I'm trying to make an AVI file, but I can't get the voice sound track - only background sound. I tried switching the options to Software under A/V Codec. I've downloaded the newest codec k-pak. I'm out of options - can anyone help? Thanks

I had a problem with only having background sound once before it turned out that the system I played it on was not set up correctly so I not get all sound due to the set up

really need more info like what mentioned in this link http://forum.dvdfab.com/showthread.php?t=542

The nature of the problem. I've successfully created AVI files of Steel Magnolia and ISO files of Braveheart, but can't create either format of A Beautiful Mind. I'm using the original disk. I can hear the other sound tracks perfectly, but the talking part is missing.

The EXACT profile you used and any parameters within it that you may have changed. I assume you mean DVDFab profile - the only thing I changed was based on a post I found in the forum - I changed General > A/V Codec options to "software" for everything.

If using a custom profile, please attach it to your post.

Whether this happens with all titles or just one. It's happened to others, but not all.

Your operating system/CPU/memory configuration. I have windows 7, intel i9 920, 8 gig of ram.

If you have made any recent changes to your OS or system hardware. I recently downloaded DVDFab, so I guess it's never worked propertly.

If you have other DVD or BD software installed, particularly if recently added. I do have DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, Roxio Burner, ConvertXtoDVD4, DivX. I had all these prior to installing DVDFab.

      DVDFab 8.0.6.7 (2011/01/02 19:09:23)

I realize what you mean by "profile" now - I'm using generic.avi.divx.audiocopy. The sound plays in the bottom left hand corner preview screen. But ripping to AVI or ISO results in just background sound - no voices. This also happens on The Hours, We Were Soldiers, Lord of the Rings, etc. It's not isolated to A Beautiful Mind.
