BD Ripper (3D Plus) Two Questions Regarding Blu-ray ripping

I have been ripping my DVD's to an ISO file and I plan on starting this with Blu-ray.

    Question:

    1. Do I need a standard Blue-ray player to rip (not burn) Blu-ray's or do I need to purchase a blu-ray burner?

    2. What format would you recommend that does not compress the quality of the movie?

    Thanks, Bill

You just need a Blu-ray reader if you not going to burn to blank media but for an extra $20 to $30 you can get one that burns as well.

if you want to keep the HD audio then you need to make it a .m2ts file but if not then you can do .mkv or .ts files
