So, I used to use the generic h.264 to encode for my AppleTV (gen1), and it worked fine. In fact, all the old ones I encoded work fine. But anything I encode with generic after my most recent update does NOT work fine. It does this thing where it flickers back and forth very quickly. Almost like, two frames forward, one frame back, two forward, one back. Very weird.
Another odd thing is, this only affects playback via iTunes, which unfortunately I need in order to stream to my ATV. If I play it back using QuickTime, it works fine.
The other odd thing is, if I encode h.264 using the MP4, it also works fine. This makes no sense to me, because they are all h.264, but one works and one doesn't. The only thing that looks really different is the fps, but I have no idea if that's the problem.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
