DVD Ripper Setting Default Profile Audio Options

Hi,

I'm running V8.0.6.8 and ripping interlaced content. To enable deinterlace I've modified the profile directly to include the appropriate command - <deinterlace mode="1" method="1"/>. This works fine.

Because deinterlace is a setting that cannot be remembered by using the option 'Set As Default' button I've modified the xbox360.wmv.wma.480p profile to the default settings I need. All settings reflect correctly when the profile is chosen except for the Bitrate which defaults to 128000kbs. In the profile I've set it as;

<bitrate value="192000" list="96000,192000,160000,192000,256000,320000,384 000,448000,512000" muti_value="/1:128000/2:128000/6:448000/"/>

Which I changed from the default;

<bitrate value="128000" list="96000,192000,160000,192000,256000,320000,384 000,448000,512000" muti_value="/1:128000/2:128000/6:448000/"/>

How can I get DVDFab Ripper to reflect my set Bitrate not the default?

p.s. DVDFab Team - I've succesfully now ripped between v7 and v8 around 600 of my DVD's. After the series boxsets are done it will be around 1000+ equallying around 2TB of storage space taken. Good job!

Hi, I think you will find that if you set the multivalues 1 & 2 to 192000 as well, it should set as default bit rate,

<bitrate value="192000" list="96000,192000,160000,192000,256000,320000,384 000,448000,512000" muti_value="/1:192000/2:192000/6:448000/"/>

Hi, glad it worked for you, I also have a couple of tips regarding profiles--
I apologise if you already know them;-

1) Always save copies of working new profiles (as well as the original).
2) When saving a profile as a default (top right conversion settings window);-
you may have to amend the default profile found in the app data/DVDFab/ folder(usually a hidden folder)- for example deinterlace would not stick otherwise.

The main reason for saving the files is because I have had to do clean reinstallations of DVDFab sometimes, and of course you would lose any new profiles that you have made !!
