DVD Ripper 8.x ipod.mpeg4 crashes

Hi,

I've never had any problem with the ipod.mpeg4 profile using DVDFab 7 but any version of 8 crashes a few seconds after starting.

This happens when converting straight from DVD and when copying the DVD first.

I always use 2-pass encoding but I've tried it with 1-pass and that does seem to work but the quality is pretty awful.

I've tried generic.mp4.h264.acc but that doesn't play on my ipod touch. Tried ipodTouch profile which works but isn't very good quality.

I want to use the ipod.mpeg4 profile which I've always used with DVDFab 6-7 and seems to produce the best result for me. I don't understand why I can't do that with 8.x

What does that error mean?

Looking through the log I've got that error before but also this one:
