BD Ripper (3D Plus) Problems converting Wall Street MNS from ISO to MKV?

    Ok,
The first few movies I ripped to my HD and converted to MKV went just fine, albeit slow. This new Blu Ray of Wall Street Money never sleeps hangs after about 10 hours of compression indicating like .7 FPS and 00:00 time left.

    Process:
First I rip the main movie using Blu ray copy to an ISO on my HD (no compression)

Then I chose blu ray ripper to MKV. I select the ISO and use mkv.H264audio copy and for the size of the file, around 8-9GB with constant bit rate, full 1080p, everything else set to default.

    Pentium 4 3.00Ghz
    2GB RAM
New Nvidia video card on the way to replace an older ATI card.

    Settings:
all encoding and decoding to "Software" and default otherwise. I have tried resetting the DMA.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

    Thanks,
    Brandon

Thanks for the reply. I had tried a different movie last night(another iso copy) with the same result. So I would go about using Blu ray copy as usual but instead of the target being iso I chose a folder instead then go back and use blu ray ripper, select the folder, and convert/compress to mkv? Just want to clarify, this whole blu ray ripping etc, is very new to me

On a related note, whats the difference of taking the original uncompressed file(or iso) and using blu ray copy first and shrink it down to BD9 versus using blu ray ripper and using mkv.H264audiocopy on the same file?

    Thanks!
    Brandon

Thanks again. Before reading your suggestion on ripping to a folder rather than an iso, I tried converting to BD9 and so far it looked as if it would work, but i had to leave for work before it finished. My thought was to compress the full iso file down to 8GB then convert to mkv since the other technique was stalling. Now I have your option to try later on today!

      Thank you sir!
