BD Ripper (3D Plus) m2ts.passthrough not ripping audio tracks properly

I'm relatively new to DVDFab. I'm having problems ripping my BD disks audio tracks.

I'm using DVDFab 8.0.7.3 using the Blu-ray Ripper / M2TS option with the m2ts.passthrough profile with basically default options.

The only thing I'm doing that's not default is deselecting the foreign language audio tracks, usually ending up with only the DTS/HD and AC-3 audio tracks selected.

My problem is that it appears that even though I can select multiple audio tracks (they are check-boxes, not radio-buttons) the resulting M2TS file contains only one or zero audio tracks.

Very similar options appear to work fine when ripping DVDs. Am I doing something wrong??

Also, is there a way to get DVDFab to down-mix a DTS HD track to AC3/5.1? My current receiver can't decode the DTS HD track, and some of my blueray disks only have DTS/HD & AC3/2 tracks and the AC3/2 track sounds terrible, not what I'd expect for a blueray movie.

Please use Blu-ray Ripper > "to MKV" option, then choose the DTS-HD audio track, mark the option "Remove HD Audio" to convert to get the DTS HD track down-mixed to AC3/5.1.

I believe "Remove HD Audio" would convert the audio to a DTS track, not an AC3/5.1. Hopefully your receiver and playback device support DTS.

Mona, Complication, thanks for replying. I had some dvdfab account issues that prevented me from responding until now.

I see that in the DvdFab 8.0.7.8 beta release that in the 'to M2TS' option the audio check-boxes have been changed to radio-buttons, meaning only one audio track can be ripped to the M2TS container.

If my understanding of the M2TS container is correct, it is fully capable of storing multiple audio tracks. And for my purposes (building a long-term library/archive of my bluerays) MKV is not my preferred solution.

Is the change to DVDFab to formally disable ripping multiple audio tracks into an M2TS container permanent? I sure hope not.

If so, are there any alternatives or work-arounds available?

FWIW, in my perfect world, we would be able to either rip the main title with all chosen audio tracks into an M2TS -OR- just copy to ISO but strip the fancy java titles and use Windows Media Center to mount & play the disc using a simple plugin instead of an external player.

Regardless, I don't want to throw out the HD audio tracks, but I don't want to use the MKV container either.
