Ripping scenes into avi/mpg format

Is there a Fab product that allows you to rip DVD scenes into avi or mpg format?

DVDFab DVD Ripper will remove the copy protections and allow you to rip one or more chapters from any given title.

There are free video editors that can help you cut a chapter to something smaller (try videohelp.com).

With DVD Ripper, can I use an .avi file as an input and then output a certain time frame? For example, the .avi scene is 20 minutes and I only want the segment from the 5-10 minute mark.

Sorry, DVDFab does not support time based cuts, only chapters. It has been requested several times. Maybe you could add your voice to one of the feature request threads.
