    DVD Ripper CUDA problems

    DVDfab Version 8.0.7.3
    Windows 7 x64 ultimate S.P 1 completely updated
    Intel Core Duo Q6600
    4 gig Corsair CM2X2048-8500 C5D Dominators (5,4,4,12,22,2T)
    Gigabyte GV-N470SO-13I, GTX470 SOC, OEM Bios "F10"
    Nvidia Geforce Driver 266.58
    OC Guru v1.22
VLC,IMGburn,UltraIso(no Virt. drivers installed),DVDfab Virtual Drive

First I have used DVDfab "DVD Copy" (Full Disc,DVD 9) and converted all my DVD movies To ISO's. I am know using these ISO's with "DVD Ripper" to PSP format using the default settings of the "psp.h264.firmware3.30+" profile. The problem is when I use the "CUDA" setting for Video Decoder and the "Software + Cuda" setting for Video Encoder(lighting-recording enabled) the resulting PSP video's are unplayable on the PSP. Ever know and then a video rip will play but has green artifacts all over picture.

When I use the "software" setting for Video Decoder and "software" setting for Video Encoder (lighting-recording enabled) the resulting Videos play fine on my PSP. I just put a basic video info below because this is not specific to any one movie.

    SOURCE FILE TYPE: ISO
    SOURCE VIDEO TYPEVD-Video
    SOURCE VIDEO RESOLUTION:852x480
    SOURCE AUDIO TYPE: AC-3/5.1 normal
    DVDFab VERSION: 8.0.7.3
    OUTPUT RESOLUTION: 480x272
    OUTPUT CROP: 2.32:1
    OUTPUT BITRATE: 768kbps
    OUTPUT PASSES:1

Thanks for all your help and hopefully I posted this right .

confirm CUDA problems with the 266.58 driver...
For me with a GTX285, i´ve no artifacts because of using cuda, but the credits of the movie get cutted of...
we´ll have to wait for driver update...

Try the scene search feature on your PSP (play movie hit triangle then select curved arrow with three bars under it) when playing video see if the video clips are distorted. Mine would do that too and the would be all green just curious.

Try unchecking the Lightning-Recoding to see if that helps

Why not revert to the older 266.35 version?

Yes I have tried that and same results ever thing works fine if I use "software" encoders decoders ect.. have tried various test using the different A/V codec's
setting with the same result if "CUDA" is used in any of the settings videos are unplayable on PSP.

I forgot to put that in my post but I am going to revert back to Geforce 258.96 today and see what happens. I'm going back to older drivers and not the 266.35 because if I remember right "CUDA" worked with them before I upgrade to the new drivers. I have been reading on other forum about issues with the 260.xx series drivers and think I will stay away from them for a while.
