DVD Ripper Audio Sync - Bourne Identity

I’m a new user so I’m sorry if this is a lame question. Using the trial version to test the software and I tried Bourne Identity as a first go –round. I’ve tried it with the standard setting and then with a higher resolution (stats below), and then lastly using "software" for the codec; on all cases the audio is out of sync. This second/third time was better, only off by about 3 seconds but it’s still unwatchable. Is this a common issue or is it something with Bourne Identity specifically? Thanks in advance for your help.

Look at the thread in this forum with the title "Audio Off Synch throughout the entire movie", look at the last message in that thread and try those settings.

      Thanks!

Audio is syched up well. I will increase the rate a little one more time as the PQ dropped a little, but having the words come out of the mouths when the lips move is a very good thing! So annoying follow up...are these manual settings something recommended for ALL rips or this was a disc problem, and typically the standard settings will work (aka this was just a specific hack for Bourne)...I'm assuming the former? Thanks again.

Not a Boune Identity issue. I would use these settings for all DVDs.

Hi 1chabs, Please do a capture of the Conversion Settings window that will offer visible parametes you set for ipad.default.

            Rips to iPad

You requested the specs, but I've abandoned this approach. Reading other threads in this forum, I tried using the "Convert to AppleTV" rather than "to iPad" with EXEMPLARY results. Using the iPad specs (once I got them to work) the rip was ok but iTunes wouldn't let me sync to the iPad. Using AppleTv, every rip has been perfect and I didn't need to make any adjustments; and the big thing is all syncs went fine. Oh and the rip times are 25% that of the last "iPad" spec I used. If you're ripping for iPad, iPod or iPhone I highly recommend using the AppleTV parameters...
