BD Ripper (3D Plus) does gpu have any effect on quality of mkv

if mkv remux is a direct rip of the original content (or close to it) does your graphics card have any effect on the quality of the rip? isn't it just pulling original files (which is a cpu speed issue)?

would appreciate some technical expertise so i can learn.
