    general setup questions

    im running 8.0.8.5
just about everymovie we copy from our collection either freezes for a slpit second in some spots, sometimes even seen it kinda warp a spot or to.
we always do double pass and going to MKV format. I dont think we have one perfect movie, i live with it but was wondering if anyone has any ideas?

my media pc is very fast as i build gaming rigs to the extreme and this is a 6 month old retired gaming rig .

amd 955 x4 OC to 3.4 on a Asus MOB
nvidia gts 460 thats factory superclocked hooked up HDMI
8 gigs of gskill ripjaws 1600mhz
    4 1TB WD Caviar Blacks
1 60gig OCZ SSD drive with OS on it.
LG lightscribe DL burner hooked up via Sata

any setup ideas would be great

Are you copying the DVD to your hard drive first, and then ripping from that - as that would be my first suggestion to ensure trouble free ripping?

        1) Just austfox suggested, you can try copying your original dvd discs on your hard drive firstly, and then convert the copied files(Video_TS folder) with DVDFab DVD Ripper.

        2) If you still encounter the same freeze problem, post your internal log file in the attachment.

        The default location is:

        For Win7 C:\Users\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log
        or Vista C:\Users\User Name\Documents\DVDFab\Log
        or for XP C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\My Documents\DVDFab\Log

        Thanks in advance.

            Hi Roughneck
Along with advice already given, you can try doing one pass also.
