when perparing a title for conversion (dvd ripper > ipad), audio bitrate defaults to 98kbps each time. is there any benefit in increasing this to either 128/160kbps? or is it set at 98kpbs default for a reason to help smooth the conversion process?
Since the larger video/audio bitrate, the larger file size. All the default parameters in Conversion Settings will enable you to get video/audio effect with basically satisfactory.
The iPad is capable of 320, other tools in my box produce files that work fine with an audio bit rate of 320, but Fab seems to have a little problem with that. It produces flutter in the audio at a bit rate of 320. 160 works great. I haven't found an upper limit for the video bit rate, file size will be your limiting factor on video.
