BD Ripper (3D Plus) Hereafter Subtitle questions?

I recently ripped the blu-ray of Hereafter into a MKV file then into a mpg file for easy streaming to my PS3 using PMS. For whatever reason, the English subtitles would not display during the scenes when the cast was speaking French? Anyone have any ideas why this is? I know some movies have "embedded"(not sure if this is correct term) subs so that when non English languages are used, the subs appear even without the user selecting them via remote.

Thoughts?

I had the same problem. Found out that by checking on the 3rd English box and nothing else, Do not click on the Force box either. GOOD LUCK.
