    BD Ripper (3D Plus) mkv.h264.aac

I've been ripping all my DVDs as mkv.h264.aac
This profile is not available for BD ripping, is there a reason for this?
    Version 8.0.8.9 Qt

Yes, because aac sound aren't popular among BD rippers. Why would you rip a high quality content into a primitive aac format? What's the point? In DVD however, source content isn't great in a first place...

Not a fan of aac then?
Main reason for using it's is compression, but maybe I see a few more terabytes of disk in my future
