DVD Ripper Incomplete Rips

Any help would be appreciated:

My first issue was audio and video sync with DVD Fab ver 8.0.8.5. This turned out impossible to correct no matter the adjustments or method used to rip a DVD.
I have started using the beta DVDFab ver 8.0.8.9. It appears to be able to rip without the sync issues. After days of trying countless times I have a new problem incurable problem. The rip process appears to complete successfully but when I play the file I only get an incomplete copy of the movie. For example: If the main movie is 2hr 19min I'll get a rip that has 1hr 12min of video. The length of the incomplete rip varies.

Suggestions?

I just finished a rip attempt. Film length is 2hr 31min. My file only plays for 1hr 36min. Properties acording to Windows 7 indicate the video length at 2:31

I just followed your exact best practices suggestions.
Same problem. The DVD copy to my HD is perfect but the rip is incomplete.

This time the rip is 52min long.

I used generic.avi H264.audiocopy

Try selecting selecting the avi.h264.audiocopy without the (2GB-) I don't know if it will work but worth a try and it's available in the list.

[Complication]

AVI files will often stop playback when there is a glitch in the video. Unfortunately, there are often glitches created due to the way DVDs are stitched together during the authoring process. You might try MKV or MP4 as the container and see if that helps.
