    DVD Ripper Noob Question

    Hey guys,
I have been researching this for a while and can get a clear answer. I am looking for the best quality Video/Audio. I don't care if it is AVI or MP4, but it needs to be able to work on a Samsung Fascinate yet have good quality on a 30" monitor. All of the test I have tired keep giving weird audio sync issues or are low quality on the monitor.
File size is not an issue.

Currently the best i can figure is:
    AVI, 2 pass, between 1.54 and 2 gb, 720x304 frame, 320 kbps audio, 25 frames a sec.

If any one can help me with an answer or direct me to the answer I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    Myles

A great profile and one that I started with (over a year ago) and still use quite a bit is this one:

    samsung.avi.h264.audiocopy.txt .

I believe the only changes I made to it, was to alter High Quality (2-pass) to Fast Encoding (1-pass).

    On a 42" HD TV, I can't see a difference.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
