DVD Ripper Sound (voice) issues when watching ripped DVD's

    Hi guys,
I have been having this problem for a while now and thought I would see if there was a solution.

Whenever I rip a dvd to my hard drive and play it back in either Windows Media Centre or Media Player the sound is always very quiet. I have to turn the volume up really high to hear it, thus meaning everything else is loud which can be slightly annoying.

I also sometimes have to play it back in 5.1 (6channel Direct) on my Logitech Z5500 speakers. If its set to anything else there is no voice only the background music of the film.

However when I play the media back on my Xbox 360 its perfect.

    Any ideas?

It seems codecs (decoder) and splitters causing these problems with audio playback. Please update your WMC and mediaplayer(s). If you have any third party codec packs, uninstall them immediately prior updating. Don't forget to clean registry.
You may have to clean re-install you media player and/or WMC
