    DVD Ripper Movies wont rip

I have tried two movies that wont rip using DVD Ripper (Skyline and The Mechanic). I have the latest release of DVD Fab and have updated my drivers for my vide card (Nvidia GTX460). I have windows 7 64 bit. I have had great success in the past of ripping movies straight to MP4 and have saved the settings. But now when I try to rip the movies, it will start fine by saying CUDA GPU Acceleration for video for video encoding enabled and that's where it seems stop. It just goes on forever. The time elapsed counter keeps going but the time remaining shows 0:00.

Any ideas? Again, I've used the CUDA acceleration before so I dont know what has changed. I even tried changing the settings to use software for video encoding but it still tries to use it.

Oh... and log files are useless because it just says ripping started... and then shows i cancelled it. No errors shown.

    Hi aria4u
It is hard to help if you have no logs.
I have had great success in the past of ripping movies straight to MP4 and have saved the settings.
Are you ripping straight from your drive???
If so do not do this

Please do not compress from your drive
First save it to your HDD as Full disc or Main movie using the DVD9 output without compression.
Then open the hard drive folder and do your converting from that folder
Doing it this way saves wear and tear on your optical drive and is also faster.

I tried doing it two ways... I had decoded the main movie to my hard drive and attempted to use DVDRipper on the folder. Same result. Then I just used DVDCopy to create a copy and tried to run DVDRipper on the copy. Same result... unable to rip. I put in a copy of Paranormal Activity 2 and I was able to rip that just fine. So I'm thinking its something specific to "The Mechanic" and "Skyline".

The new beta did not work for me... I was able to copy the DVD but could not rip the DVD or DVD Copy to MP4.

I changed the video encoding from CUDA to Software and it worked. It takes an extra 5 mins but I can live with that.

I have to note that CUDA enabled encoding works with some of the older DVD's I have such as Zoolander, Salt, and Paranormal Activity 2. But it didn't work for No Strings Attached, Skyline, and The Mechanic.

              Hi aria4u
Did you download the newest version from this site or somewhere else on the INTERNET.
Also please make sure you do as I said in post#2.

I downloaded the new version from the DVDFab.com site.

In my haste, I missed the part about copying the uncompressed DVD9 option to my hard drive. I will try that next.
