BD Ripper (3D Plus) 8.0.9.5 qt and Intel Quick Sync

I have some questions about properly using Intel Quick Sync (IQS). I have the proper hardware to use this. I am using a H67 chipset and am NOT using discrete graphics (using the video bulit into the sandy bridge).
If I select IQS for H.264 "Video Decoder" I see a mild boost in the fps ripping. From 40fps using DXVA to 60fps using IQS. I was expecting a bit more performance. I was wondering what should the option for the "Video Encoder" be set to? If I also set that to use IQS I see the rip rate drop to 11fps.

However, my main question is the audio. Why on 8.0.9.5 am I limited to Pro Logic II? This is not true 5.1. I understand this is a "beta", but this is unacceptable.

    I have an update:
I installed the latest beta - 8.0.9.7. This version fixed the audio output and I can now do full AC3 audio.
But I am no longer seeing any performance boost using Intel Quick Sync. I am back to my typical rates.

    Anyone else tried this?

Even if it's a little thing, do something for those who have need of help, something for which you get no pay but the privilege of doing it.

I am still not seeing any performance boost at all using Intel Quick Sync.

Here are the details of my system:
          Intel Core i7 2600
          Motherboard: Intel DH67BL
          8GB RAM
          Windows 7 Pro 64bit

          Pioneer BD-RW BDR-206-ATA (SATA)

          Test disc is movie:Swordfish

Output file is being written to a 2nd internal SATA hard drive

          Using version 8.0.9.8-
          Benchmark not using IQS:
          H.264 in a MKV file
          Video decoder for H.264: DXVA
          Encoder is: Software
          Profile is "mkv h.264 ac3"
          Bit rate is 10,000kbs
          Audio is set for 448kbs / 5.1
Everything else is set to the default positions
          I get a 52fps with this config

          With IQS
Video decoder for H.264: Intel Quick Sync
          Encoder is: Software
          Profile is "mkv h.264 ac3"
          Bit rate is 10,000kbs
          Audio is set for 448kbs / 5.1
If I change it to use Intel Quick sync, the best I can get is also 52fps.

I figure I must be missing something?

            Hi tjp
I am sure that the developer will view this thread and the feed back that you have given.

              tjp,
can you show how the source were coded by posting BDInfo report. My wild guess is that processing of your movie didn't required decoding. Can you try IQS for different movie?

I tried a different movie. In this case The Fifth Element. My results are the same. I get the same fps with or without using IQS.
I've attached the info.txt file. I'm unable to upload the MKB_RO file to this forum.

Maybe you have a "checklist" of the options I should have enabled in order to use IQS?

As an example, if I choose to enable IQS as the encoder, my performance plummets from around fps of in the mid 40's to 12fps.

One time when using version 8.0.9.5 the IQS worked for one rip session. I was testing with Fifth Element and the system was running at 60fps. But I've never been able to reproduce that.
