DVD Ripper Last 2 versions - not ripping at correct video bitrate

Having trouble with 8.1.0.0 and also the previous release. I always rip DVDs to Xvid 1100kbps MP3 128kbps.

The movies have been looking 'blocky' recently. The movie header says 1100kbps but when I check the file with the 'MediaInfo' app, the video is only actually ripped at 778kbps

    Can anybody offer suggestions please.

    Hi big-red
This has been reported, and they are aware of this problem, that after you click the edit button make your selections and return to main screen, that the values fall back to default.

No time frame as to when this will be fixed but knowing the Fab team it should not be that long.

I'm still have the same problems as above with 8.1.0.5. I have tried ripping exactly the same file using the same parameters - Xvid 1100kbps MP3 128kps - 2 pass. Each time I get a different result. One was 421kbps one was 992kbps. Doesn't seem to have any pattern. If it was reverting to a default bitrate I'd expect the same (default) bitrate each time. Sometimes with the audio I can select the full options - stereo, Dolby etc, other times mono is the only option available. I completely uninstall the previous version before installing the new.
