Thanks but I see no info regarding a fix for my issue

Thanks but I see no info regarding a fix for my issue. Is it just not listed among the comments about what's new in the 8.1.0.1 beta?

The fix for episodical DVDs was hiding in this.

New: Some minor changes and improvements.

Have you tried with all the A/V codecs set to software?

Where do the logs indicate the GPU is being used?

I find no indications that, for the ripping session that failed (using 8.1.0.1 beta). there was any GPU usage. Would you please show me where GPU use was indicated? The system setup box

Disable all GPU codecs for decoding and encoding

is checked and all codecs are set to software (see attached image).

                      Hi jimkress999
Are you ripping and converting from your HDD???
If so please do not do this
First save it to your HDD as main movie or full disc without compression.

Then open the ripped folder this will be your source and do your converting from the already ripped folder that is on your HDD.

Doing it this way saves wear and tear on your optical drive and is also faster.

You may also view the ripped folder to make sure the the whole movie is there, before converting.

You will find this thread very useful

I'm ripping from by optical drive

I ALWAYS rip from the original disk in the optical drive.

I did not have the conversion problem (i.e. the last few % of the video is not ripped) problem prior to 8.0.9.2 Qt and earlier versions - and in EVERY CASE when using 8.0.9.2 and earlier, I ripped from the optical drive.

As a matter of fact, I am currently using version 7.0.9.0 ripping from the optical drive and I get 100% of the video and audio.

You were looking at the wrong rip session.

I posted the correct rip session info in post #9. Look at the time stamps. The correct session is:
