BD Ripper (3D Plus) Can't rip any movies in 8.1.0.1

I recently updated from 8.0.8.5 to 8.1.0.1 and now I seem to be unable to rip any BDs (8.0.8.5 still rips fine, just the new one seems to have problems). I've tried several (Tron Legacy, Superman Returns, and a few others), and every time I set it to rip, it just seems to hang. I click Start and it doesn't progress past 0.00% ever. Anyone got any ideas? I've tried all software, DXVA, and ATI APP.

Here's my log for my most recent rip attempt (it just hangs at this point and never gets any further):

    Hi Viros
Please be sure that you rip to HDD first and not try to convert from your drive.

Also try to reset your DMA and see if you are able to rip again.
Open Fab Click the Green top right > General > make sure Check for DMA Automatically is Checked and also Click the Reset DMA to the right click OK and restart your computer and try again.

Tried the DMA thing and saw no difference. Based on what I've seen in other threads, has this worked for anyone?

Going to try the hard drive thing next, will post with my results.

Okay, I only ask because all the threads I've been able to find have people saying that it didn't help them with this or similar issues. Anyway, I've tried doing it from an ISO on my HDD and get the same results.

Gummigutta, are those lines something that might explain what's going on? I'm not quite sure why there wouldn't be a correct FourCC. I'm using the default install stuff (haven't messed with settings other than for the AV codecs), so I'm kind of at a loss. Tried several movies from several different studios, so I'm pretty sure it's not a movie or studio specific problem (unless they all have the same problem).

                Tried 8.1.0.0. No difference, unfortunately.

The full file is pretty big, so here's the part that pertains to the last attempt with 8.1.0.0:

At this point, it wasn't progressing at all on the GUI and sat at 0.00% complete for the next 20 minutes. No messages for scanning, none of the decoding messages, not even the standard starting messages (like the Conversion: one pass message). Just a blank window the whole time. There were no further entries in the log before I cancelled it (again, 20 minutes later).
