    BD Ripper (3D Plus) Cinavia Question

    In theory, if I backup an original blu-ray movie that has Cinavia protection, could I use the backup copy to rip the movie to a m2ts file since the Cinavia protection would be disabled? If so, would the m2ts file be both playable and streamable on any media player including PS3?

    I dont think thats the way it works.

    if the player detects an authorised playback source (ie a protected disc or the original disc) then cinavia doesnt kick in.

    However as soon as it becomes a ripped file, the player goes to itself, "hang on, this file has Cinavia watermark, and its not an authorised source - im going to not work"

    At the moment, theres a few ways to work around that -

    1- Use a player without Cinavia (lots out there);
    2- Rip to MKV/Another format and play with a media player;
    3- Copy to Protected Blu Ray, and watch that (but whats the ponit, you have the original);

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cinavia - I know its wikipedia, but it does make sense sometimes

    And to answer your question, at the moment, there is no way to remove the audio watermark, so even if you copy to protected disc, and then to m2ts, then the watermark will still be there and will trigger the protection.

      All the Ripper output cannot be played on PS3 if it has Cinavia protection, since DVDFab just disabled Cinavia using BDMV-REC format, for now.
      DVDFab is the all-in-one software package for copying Blu-ray/DVD and converting video file.
