DVD Ripper 8.1.0.5 refuses to complete rip

DVDFab task completes (100% complete, no time left on task time left timer),
.avi + .sub +.idx appears in output folder. But the process doesn't complete, the timer just keeps increasing and you don't get the finished message box.

The movie plays fine (apart from it stutters).

As anybody got any idea whats going on?

It only took about 8 minutes to do the rip, but it just doesn't complete.

In software mode it's fine (apart from the avi index being bad), but it's supposed to be able to offload the work to Quick Sync.

If you encode using software it works fine.

But a lot slower.

(But the avi still reports a bad index)

Erm, it my not be off any help but when QuickSync has finished ripping it shows a total elapsed time less then the task time (see attachment).

To reiterate the QuickSync rip is complete but the software doesn't display the finished messagebox.

Also the encoding is different for software and QuickSync H264.

Hi stuffy65,

Please check if you need to update the driver, and give us more info about your GPU.

Only Sandy Bridge CPU can support Intel Quick Sync to be set as video encoder.
