DVD Ripper Ripper/Converter fps Slowdown

After installing an update a few months back, I noticed a considerable drop in the fps conversion rate [from ~45 down to ~17]. As each update was released, I updated, hoping the issue would be resolved. No luck. Twiddled with almost every last setting and still no luck. I've even completely uninstalled and reinstalled the last known version that had the higher fps rate and it still was running at the lower rate.

There are no hardware changes to the machine and no new programs installed. I convert from the HD and not from the disc.

Did anyone encounter this issue? If yes, how'd you battle this?

Please update to DVDFab 8.1.0.6 Qt Beta at

http://www.dvdfab.com/mlink/download.php?g=DVDFAB_BETA

Then open Common Settings->General->A/V Codec, set all the video decoder options and video encoder options as Software, rip/convert again to see the result.
