    DVD Ripper Settings

    Hi,

I'm sure this question has been discussed many times but I can't find a simple answer...so here goes:

I use DVD Ripper generic to rip movies into AVIs (xvid / mp3) to play back
on my WD TV Live (Western Digital) on an HD Beamer.

    I would like to know:
    i) what are the best settings to use?
ii) In the "Video Format xvid" window, how do I select the correct frame resolution?

I understand very little about codexes and encoding but I am assuming it should be possible to have these two questions answered. :-))))

    Cheers,
    Mario

    hi mtechera,
First, you'd better set Software as codec and use generic.avi.xvid.mp3 profile.
Second,do not change the frame resolution as DVDFab will do it automatically in the best match.
    Wish it helps

      Thanks Terry5!

I've set the codecs to software. and am using the generic.avi.xvid.mp3 profile
and everything seems to be working well....
      :-)

      Cheers,
      Mario
