DVD Ripper Poor Quality for iPad Conversion

I have been using the iPad 1080p DVD Ripper profile because it's the only one that seems to be able to give me the 16:9 format, and version 8.1.0.0 seemed to create really good pixels of the movie Beastly. However, when I upgraded to 8.1.3.0 and tried to rip Rango, it ended up giving me horrible, grainy quality. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Is the problem because I'm trying to rip a DVD and not a Blu-Ray? Is there any way to increase the pixel quality while still having the 16:9 format?

You could set the file size bigger.

Also that mentioned version doesn't exist, please try latest Beta and post a log file from that Beta then.

Where does one set the file size bigger? Also, I was mistaken, I meant 8.1.0.3, not 8.1.3.0.

      Thanks.

        Hi Garfi61416,
Firstly, you can select the 16:9 or 4:3 format in "Source Aspect Ratio" combobox of Video Effect Settings page. Secondly, you can set the file size by changing "Fixed File Size" in Conversion Setttings page. Thirdly, give it a try about the lastest build 8106 QT beta .
        Wish it helps.
