    Mostly it happens when source content poorly mastered and DVDFab can't read framerate correctly.
    Sounds a fair comment, however i'd say that DVDripper needs an improvment then because the app recommended here (mediainfo??) has no problem in detemining the original fps of the source..? Infact if I'm not mistaken there are other options in the DVDfab suite where a user no matter where they are located is given a choice to keep the original FPS.. can't remember where but I'll look for it now

      You will be surprised... There are plenty of people who reside in US, but originally came from Europe, or elsewhere and want to see movies from country of their origin in their native language...

        Anyhow back to the original problem; audio is more out of sync now when setting the FPS as defined by mediainfo. new rip has moved audio back 2 to 3 seconds from video.

        I'll start a new thread instead of highjacking this one..

          I wouldn't be so sure. MediaInfo once in a while produces bogus reports... especially if content with VFR.

            That's exactly confirms what I said in previous post

              IPopov50 I hear you but your argument of a few folks making interconentinental rips in the bigger sceme of things is rather invalid imo, i mean how many millions rip videos from their own continent as opposed to a few who have temporarily moved continents??

              I don't have the numbers but you're asking me to believe something which seems totally unrealistic..

                @Ian
                Oops, I just looked at your OP...
                You seems dealing with interlaced content (most likely, because it's TV show). Try to do this: Google, download and install MKVtoolnix. In that package you will get muxer and extractor. First extract all streams from your file using extractor, and then re-mux them again using muxer. Make sure audio stream framerate is correct before muxing.

                  Well if that's the case then we must be guessing then, and every media player must also be guessing, the players which are not out of sync would presumably be guessing correctly??

                    I wish there was an option to gather all the information you need with one click then upload it here for diagnosis

                    the movie in question today (but also includes every DVD purchased these last few days) is Phenomenon (NTSC) the rips that have gone well AFAIK are from Blue Ray source but will check those movies

                        The Framerate selection in BD ripper to mkv.h264.ac3 is "Same as source". In my test, it's OK. Use source "Spider Man 3", Framerate is 29.970 and NTSC. Please try the lastest build 8121 QT beta http://www.dvdfab.com/mlink/download.php?g=DVDFAB_BETA and try it again. If the issue still occurs, post the related internal log here.
