BD Ripper (3D Plus) 8.1.2.5 - m2ts passthrough - hangs on all disks

    Initial scan completes normally.
    Press Start.
    Progress screen appears.
    Task shows 0/1.
Total elapsed time increments but nothing else happens.

Same result with all disks I've tried.

Here's the log for Mercury Rising -

      Yes, I've seen that thread.

Started a new thread to indicate the problem is with all disks not just with the one mentioned.

I agree that it appears to be happening on all Blu-Ray disks since 8.1.2.4 . 8.1.2.2 works fine (except it hangs at the end, using m2ts passthrough).

Looks like this is a two way conversation.

We don't appear to be getting any help.

I'm wondering if my title is confusing - the hang at the end of 8.1.1.2 comes to mind.

I'll give it a couple of days to see if help is forthcoming. If not, I'll start a new thread - "8.1.2.5 - m2ts passthrough - won't start - any disk - please help".

Your not alone ; tried a m2ts passthrough with 'le pacte de loups' and 'dragon wars'; failed after reading the discs just as teddo's.
Tried a 2 pass conversion of a vc1 disc both audiocopy fast and normal and after reading the disc ;much slower than earlier firmwares; similarly failed

Sent in dvd fab reports which Ive activated to come on automatically .Tried dxva and software no diff..

According to another thread, many of the developers in China are on vacation through the end of the week. I am not expecting anything until next week.

I just purchased BluRay Ripper and I can confirm the same behavior on multiple discs. Seems to be ripping find and reaches 100% but never finishes. There is no file in the output folder in question at all. This puts a damper on my using the product for the reason I purchased it.

Sorry, I know tis is partially off topic. I tried to encode to MP4, which does complete, but no matter what encoder settings I try the resulting files look like you're watching them underwater.(Jittery) I've had better luck with Nero Recode taking the .m2ts file and converting it to their AVC format.

I reported this problem to support@dvdfab.

                  Received this reply -

For your problems, could you please use other m2ts profile to see if this is a universal problem, or just for this one "m2ts passthrough"?

When you rip Blu-ray discs with DVDFab, please disable all the other background tasks in your windows task manager, especially close all programs running in background that could access to the same Blu-ray disc

Thank you for your reply to my last email.

Have checked - no other tasks running.

Tried other m2ts profiles - these start - so only m2ts passthrough is broken.
                  This began with 8.1.2.4

                  Earlier versions work fine.

Same result with all disks I've tried.

m2ts passthrough is the only profile that suits me.

Please help - fix m2ts passthrough in your next release.
