appreciate I am jumping on an old thread, but I get same error message today with v8.1.2.6.
trying to rip 1 chapter from a music concert DVD - springsteen 18 songs - direct from the original DVD.
I get the crash with the xvid+audiocopy option, both for 1 pass & for 2 pass. have allows dvdfab to send an error report to developers.
seems to be ripping ok with the H264 option so why is xvid not working ?
Now I admit to being an infrequent user, but it is disconcerting to return to this program, update to latest version - & get errors that were first reported a year ago!
at first I though it was happening because I was changing file name / title fields ( another old bug) but xvid rip crashed even without trying that !
