good evening, Any suggestions for output "downgrade" when Ripping from either DVD and Blu-ray titles where the target devices is a notebook PC with 15-inch display or at most a 22-inch external monitor display?
I typically try and go MPEG-4 / H.264 (w/ AAC).
I'm guessing for a laptop or even a smaller device like a 7-inch (Android) tablet (or smaller), Stereo audio output is adequate instead of picking a 5.1 audio / ProLogic II.
I ask too as I'm thinking that especially for smaller devices, "downgrading" the output would hopefully result in smaller file sizes (i.e., pack more movies on a microSD card
At the other end, for a 60-inch LG and a Onkyo receiver with 7.1, would the MP4 and MKV outputs get the best quality results?
