BD Ripper (3D Plus) PS3 player no sound 5.1 build 8.1.3.2 Qt

Using the latest build 10/31/11 8.1.3.2 Qt, and a PS3 for playback.
    Video playback is fine.

I can not get 5.1 sound using the PS3 default preset. No I have to select Dolby Pro Logic which ends up playing out of all 5 speakers at the same level (blick) unusable!!! Also tried mts, avi and the xbox presets!

I believe this comes down to PS3 not being able to deal with DTS

Reading the release notes for 8.1.2.6
Fix: No sound problem for profile ps3.mp4.hd.

    Hi kenshomi,
DVDFab support for BD ripper to ps3.mp4.hd with DTS/5.1. The audio will be converted from DTS/5.1 to AAC/5.1. You can check the output files by MediaInfo(free).
    Thanks for your support!

If I select anything but 5.1 multichannel from the "Channel" Dialog box I get sound.

Nope disabling CUDA was no help.

No process log was produced - the one posted above is the latest.

              Hi kenshomi
You should never convert from your drive.
First save it to your HDD as BD50 "Movie Only" without compression.
Then open the hard drive folder and use it to do your converting.
Doing it this way saves wear and tear on your optical drive and is also faster.

EDIT Just noticed you are using a folder on your screen shot.

                  Hi kenshomi,
Do just as moderator CBR929 told in #7.
What's more, check the playback on PC and then tell us the result.

I do rip my backups to the the hard drive. I drag the bmdv folder into dvdFab to BR rip. the files play back perfectly on my pc using vlc, or wmp.
I 've tried deselecting CUDA, tried 256bit, selected use profile for audio conversion nothing works. The ps3 will play avi rips will dolby stero (which sucks) but keep testing until something worked.

Hoping we can find a solution.
                    Thanks
                    Kurt

                      Solved

@90312 You are wise - the answer is in your message HDMI!
I had to switch to a HDMI input and change to bitstream in my PS3 Audio setup.

                      Thanks!!! I was going crazy!

The issue was the PS3 setup NOT dvdFAB
