BD Ripper (3D Plus) Problem ripping 'Deathly Hallows' part 2 (UK)

Hi,

I've ripped many a bluray dvd now to the mp4 format and play them either my pc or popcorn hour. I use the same settings for all of them. This usually results in a file around 5-6Gb. All the ones I tried so far work fine, but the 'Deathly Hallows' CD stutters, audio breaks, etc. Before you blame my lan, that was my thought as I had just changed the server, but when testing, all the other rips of the same size/quality/data rate seem to play just fine. DH breaks up so much it is un-watchable. Even the WB logo looks like it's animated at 2 frames a second! I've tried it internal to the popcorn hour (hdd), via usb, even my local PC.

Anyone else experienced this? I've ripped it in single and dual pass. Tried reducing the data rate etc. before I found out that even the higher data rate rips I did before still work fine.

I've upgraded to several new versions and was running 8.1.5.9. Just updated to 8.1.6.1 to try that, but the previous few version and my old one (I'd not updated (pre-qt) for so long as it was working well) all end with the same result.

Please post your logs the default location is:

Your logs show that you are using an older version, you will find the latest version here http://forum.dvdfab.com/showthread.php?t=16846 give it a try.

Also disable Cuda, Open Fab click the Click the Green √ at top right corner of the DVD Fab screen, and open Common Settings > General >A/V Codec, put a check in Disable all GPU codes and make sure they are set to Software, restart Fab and try again.

Please do not convert from your drive.

First save it to your HDD as BD50 "Main Movie" using BD Copy without compression.

Then open the hard drive folder and use the folder on your HDD to do your converting.

Doing it this way saves wear and tear on your optical drive and is also faster.

Sorry, still the same. Tried additional various options to test. Using the same mp4, I reduced the bit rate way down to 2500kps. Still stutters in the same places. I also tried ripping as 'ipad'. That actually seems to work much better but quality is poor, as you'd expect.

BTw - I'd already tried software mode. This is because previously on my old version, dbdfab would crash due to the nvidia driver I had installed at the time. I got the same result.
