File to DVD

I have a backup of a DVD in dvix avi format I made years ago that has been on my PC forever.

I would like to put that on a DVD disc.

I'm new and wanted to try out this software and I have the 30 day free trial.

This file has nothing but the movie.

Is it possible to burn this file onto a DVD and have it playable in standard DVD players?

Also there is room to put multiple movies like this onto 1 4G disk.

DVD Fab does not do this.

There is a free tool called AVI2DVD. I guess it is ok to mention since it does not compete with DVDFab.

Also what about if you come across say a good random video, non copyrighted piece that you want to save on DVD disc?

can you take like say a youtube video and put it on a DVD disc with DVDfab?

Again NO!!! DVD Fab is NOT a DVD authoring package.

A lot, if not most, newer set top DVD players will play DivX burned to a DVD with no further action required.

BTW, Youtube videos are also copyrighted. Youtube just has a license to them but it doesn't extend to your personal use. I'm not saying you should or do care.
