DVD Ripper Black bars after ripping

Hi all,

My first post and I am new to this software so please be gentle. I have got a few Chuggington DVD's that he got over christmas and I wanted to rip them and put them on my NAS box to stream to my PS3 downstairs. However when I ripped each episode off the DVD as a Vob file and steamed it has black bars at the top and bottom of the picture. When I play them from the DVD on the PS3 there are no black bars.

I have tried specifying my screen size as 1920 x 1080 in the edit section but the output file is only 720 x 576. Is there any way to rip the episodes as a Vob file and not have the black bars?

This means that the information about aspect ratio in the VOB files on the DVD does not match the other configuration files on the DVD. DVDFab simply dumps the VOB files and does not modify the aspect ratio. Your best bet is to convert to MP4. You might have to play with the crop and aspect settings in DVDFab. Sorry, you just have a poorly authored DVD.
