DVD Ripper Which output should I use.

I am converting from DVD to mp4. Not sure which output I should use for viewing on a 55 inch tv and a ps3. Tried different outputs with mixed results. Best luck I have had is the ipod mp4 1080p. Some I have tried have no sound. Any ideas on which output would be the best.. Oh, forgot these are streaming from my windows media server to the 2 devices I have mentioned. Thanks..

Guess a simpler way to say is, what file output would you use for viewing on a 1080p tv and a playstation 3. If 2 different outputs would be required, what would be a better blend of the 2..
