DVD Ripper Rip to Kindle Fire not playable

    Hey Everyone,

I'm ripping a standard dvd (not blu-ray) to file and then transferring to my kindle fire. The file shows up in the kindle fire gallery as a video but when I click to play it is not reading the file. I don't get an error of any sort either, and no sound. I'm using the defaults that are configured when the kindle fire option is chosen when using dvd ripper. The file shows up on my hd as a mp4 and plays just fine on the computer.

    Any suggestions? Thanks!

So you are tapping the gallery app and then video right?

That's right - I'm accessing through the gallery. Couldn't find it under video (which is where I'd think to look), but it does show up in the gallery as a video.

I just checked that profile on my computer and it defaulted to 5.1 multi-channel audio, my bet is you'll need to change that to stereo at say 160 kbps. I really doubt the Kindle Fire can play 5.1 audio.
