BD Ripper (3D Plus) Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles

I'm trying to rip disk 3 of season one of Terminator - The Sarah Connor Chronicles, but am having some trouble. Sorry if this gets complicated, but it's hard to explain.

Each disk in the first season has 3 episodes on it. Two of the episodes are standalone playlists/titles, but the third is included in a 2+ hour playlist that you have to select the correct chapters for. The third disk is more complex, as it has episodes 7-9, but also an extended cut of episode 7. There are 4 playlists over 25 minutes (each episode is 40-45 minutes) available to rip, titles 2, 4, 7, and 15.

Title 2 (43 minutes) has the video of episode 9, but only the commentary audio.
Title 4 (2 hours 58 minutes) has episode 7, which works fine, but starting with the extended cut of episode 7, the audio is offset by about 5 minutes (starting at chapter 10, there's about 5 minutes of blank air). The audio continues to be offset into episodes 8 and 9, even if you only rip those chapters.
Title 7 (3 hours 1 minute) is very similar to title 4, with all 3 episodes, and the extended cut of episode 7. Starting with chapter 10 (the beginning of the extended cut of episode 7, the audio is offset by about 5 minutes (the same as Title 4). The audio continues to be offset into episodes 8 and 9, just like title 4.
Title 15 (52 minutes) is the extended cut of episode 7, but again, the audio is offset by about 5 minutes (again, blank air for the first 5 minutes or so).

None of the titles has any other audio tracks, so it's not like it's just detecting the wrong one. I'm running the newest version also.

I'm re-ripping now to get fresh logs, and as soon as it's done, I'll post again. I was just hoping someone could shed some light on how I can get episodes 8 & 9 (and preferably the extended cut of episode 7).

I'm not sure if this will help, but I found that on the PS3, the disk itself reports that the episodes are Title 1 (for no episode recap) and Title 7 (with episode recap). However, and this might be the trouble, the audio switches from 5.1 surround at the end of chapter 8 (the final chapter of the first episode) to 2.0 at the beginning of chapter 9, then back to 5.1 at the beginning of chapter 10. Could that be the problem?

Minor update... It only lists "AC-3/2" audio for each of the titles (there are no other audio tracks listed, despite the PS3 clearly playing in 5.1 aside from the intro of the extended episode). I tried specifically selecting "5.1 Multichannel" for the conversion setting, but it made no difference. There's still 5 minutes of empty air as soon as the extended episode starts.

        Does anyone have any suggestions?

I just tried with DVDFab 8.1.7.6, and still have the same problem. It only shows "AC-3/2" as the only audio track. Can anyone offer any advice or suggestions? If not, can I file this as a bug?

hi i found the same issue long time back and ended up having to demux and remux them manually using a 3rd party tool. A lot of times i have found that the preferred track u may want is a hidden track in the playlist itself whereas the m2ts file itself has the track in it. You can use mediainfo on the playlist file to find the reference to the m2ts file, then use mediainfo tool on the m2ts file and see all the real tracks available. Once u have setup the correct tool to use u can then demux and remux manually the tracks you wanted.

I have found a similar issue with star wars the clone wars season 1 on. Whereas there was only one playlist title for the whole season but each episode was on its own m2ts file. So that season i had to rip each m2ts file manually as the only language listed was japanese in the playlist but the actual m2ts file contain many other languages.

Also be aware that on disc 2 of season one demon hand and the extended version of demon hand follow one another. Except for that all episodes on season one m2ts files are in order as i recall. I ripped this long time ago with earlier version of dvdfab. Hope this helps.

one other thing u can also do to identify them is to get into the stream folder and identify the m2ts files by their size, it will be easy to pick them out as they will have a somewhat consistent size around the same amount and several gig long.
