DVD Ripper Chuck Season 4 Disk 2 won't open

    Greetings,

I have been adding movies and tv shows to a backup drive, and some disks won't load. For example, DVDfab read and ripped Chuck Season 4 Disks 1, 3, & 4, but disk 2 won't load. The disk will play in a conventional DVD player, and will play in the computer's DVD player, but DVDfab repeatedly asks me if I want to Retry, Abort, Ignore, or Ignore All - but won't load the disk.

I've attached DVDfab_internal.log; there was no DVDfab_process.log in the Log folder.

    DVDfab reports as:
Info for drive [E:\] (DVDFab 8.1.7.6)

    Drive region control: RPC II
    Drive region: 1
    User changes left: 4
    Vendor resets left: 4

No disc in drive. (even though there is a disk in the drive)

Any help with the rip would be greatly appreciated.

This error is cause by either marks, scratches or manufacturing defects on the disk.

Inspect, clean and polish the disk and give it another try.

Playing a disk is not the same as decrypting it. Apples and Oranges!!!

Thanks GregiBoy - it looks shiny ;-) but I'll hit it again with the polisher.

Failing that, I'll record off the screen. It's not as elegant a solution as DVDfab decryption, but it beats a sharp stick in the eye.

      Onward -
