DVD/ISO to something Itunes can play?

Hey Fellas,
Does anybody know the best settings for iTunes?
This is being played on a 32" flat-screen television so it does not need to be the highest settings. I would like something that rips pretty quickly.
At the moment I am ripping a full movie with default settings under the "MP4" tab, but it is taking 4 hours . . . I am used to ripping AVIs in round 1 hour.

Any ideas?

Have you tried the "Apple TV" profile?

Also have a look at my "Best Practice: DVD to Mobile" thread (Link in my sig below) and few of the methods there may help you speed up the process.
