It is clearly the program i have quad core computer and windows 7 ultimate and only get a maximum of 30 fps of encoding very slow and dvd rippper is pretty slow as well. and i also have 4 gb of ram etc

Its always good to keep all the updates! I have all offical updates back to V5, If one doesn't work go back and try an older update!
@ dgiidden, if you did AVATAR before and had no problems, go back to that version and use it to re-do AVATAR!
You'll find that an older version will work when a newer one won't! If you can copy to hdd very fast, but have a version thats to slow to convert to a different format, go back to a version that was very fast for you! I've done this many of times!
New isn't always better! Hope this can help you guys out!
