I'm using a trial of BluRay Ripper (trying before possibly buying), and all the rips I do of Band of Brothers go wrong. I can't help but think that my two problems are related.
First, most visibly, the video is jerky. It'll be smooth for about 1/3 second then jerky for 2/3 second. I've attempted different bit rates, and it does nothing. I've attempted to change the frame rate, but I can't (I assume it's locked for the trial). It's simply set to "Same as Source".
Which brings me to my second problem. Windows says under the Detailed tab of the file properties that the video is 23 fps. A BluRay, I know, is 60-120 fps. Somehow, "Same as Source" isn't the same as the source.
I'm thinking the video appears jerky because the human eye considers it to be smooth at 29 fps or more. However, speeding up and slowing down doesn't make sense biologically! :P Anyway, the sale on the software is almost up, and I'd love to get an explanation/fix soon... Thanks!
