BD Ripper (3D Plus) Bluray - Inception RIPPING Subtitles issue

Hello, i just bought a licence for bluray - ripper.

I have an ISSUE with Inception Blu ray subtitles.

    Here are my settings :
    - resizing image to 1024*576 (due to size purpose)
    - using h264 ac3 template
    - 1 pass, cuda enabled (i have a GTX570)
    - i want subtitles on image.

What i notice is that : at the beginning of the movie subtitle are synchronised with audio, then after 20 minutes of movie, subtitles are displayed 2-5 sec before the audio !!!!!

Could you please help me ?

(the ripping is quite long anyway : from 1h-1h30 in sigle pass, from 2h30-4h30 for a second pass and i did not see any improvement in the quality by my side.)

I'm rather disappointed for the moment.

Disable GPU acceleration and try again.

      Hello thanks for your reply.

So i manage to test by disabling GPU acceleration and it solves the subtitles synchronisation trouble.

"BUT" and there is a but : I now encounter graphic artefact.
Worst of all : i have this king of trouble with a 2-pass High Quality.

The trouble is visible on some scenes, all along the movie.

      Example :

Any idea to fix that ???

Yeah use one pass, two pass is just extra time and trouble.

          I ve redone a 6th try ...

          1) So No acceleration : to have subtitle synchronised. Ok it's working.
          2) 2 pass : long and no more quality. Ok i forgive the idea.
          3) 1 pass : i still have bad image artefact.

Here is a new sample from my last attempt.

I am very dissapointed by my purchase. I spent at least 10h for nothing....

Is there a way to have a rip with an image acceptable ? For the moment i have better results with DvD ... I bought Bluray for having better results.

Try turning off GPU processing, set all A/V codecs to software and give it a try at one pass.

Finaly it seems to work, i have to watch the complete movie to be sure, but with a fast review i did not notice any more artefacts.

I will keep you inform to close the topic if it's ok.

                    Here i am again.

Bad news, i manage to watch my rip and i still have some compression artefact.

Artefacts are random, there are never located the same place, that make find them rather hard, but this is a very anoying trouble.

I have no idea how to fix that.
                    - 1 pass : artefact
                    - 2 pass : artefact
                    - GPU acceleration : subtitle sync troubles
                    - no GPU acceleration : still got artefact...

                    Help will be appreciated.

                      Hi sensai_s
If I may ask, what type of player are you using for playback of these converted files?

                        I tried 2 players :
                        VLC and Windows Media player.

Got trouble with both of them.

I just perused your thread and a couple things come to mind.
All Fab versions are not created equal with respect to specific functions; this is particularly true with Qt versions.

                            I'd try v.8085.
Where one or several versions fail, another may prevail.
8085 is the last of the pre-Qt versions, is fairly up to date and more importantly, it's very stable.

You can still D/L directly from Fab right here:

(look just beneath the Media Player links)

I doubt it's the player, but VLC has recently fallen out of favor with many of us as it no longer supports AC3.

I'd give media player classic a shot.

I'd be happy to try and reproduce your problem when I get some free time later on this eve.
I've got the 3-disc set form Amazon (US)...BD, BD special features and std dvd

Any changes from the default settings for "h264 ac3 template"?
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
